1. Scope
Users may request deletion of their personal data in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR (“Right to Erasure”). This applies to all data collected and processed by The List App Oy, except where retention is required by law.
2. How to Submit a Deletion Request
By Email: Send a message to info@thelistapp.fi with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
Please include:
- Full name and registered email address
- Short description of the request
- Optional: account ID or username
3. Identity Verification
We verify the requester’s identity via a one-time verification link or similar secure method. If necessary, we may request additional information to confirm identity before processing.
4. What Will Be Deleted
- Account data: name, email address, profile details
- Usage data: activity logs, preferences, communications
- Third-party integrations: linked accounts and access tokens
Data That May Be Retained
We retain only data required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims (GDPR Article 17(3)), such as accounting records and system logs.
5. Processing Time
All verified requests are processed within 30 days. In complex cases, this period may be extended by up to two additional months, with notification provided to the user.
6. Backups and System Logs
Active data is deleted or anonymized without undue delay. Backup data is not individually modified but will be overwritten automatically as part of standard backup rotation.
7. Third-Party Processors
We notify relevant data processors of the deletion request and ensure corresponding actions on their systems.
8. Consequences of Deletion
Once deletion is completed, the user’s account is permanently closed, and access to associated or purchased content may be lost unless retention is required by law.
